Position Overview:

The production manager will help manage our email fundraising program by overseeing all email, petition page and fundraising page set-up and quality assurance. They will be responsible for acting as a final quality assurance check on sends and help track email performance, fundraising metrics and testing results. This person will be an integral part of our digital fundraising team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build mailings and petition pages in our CRM and build fundraising pages in ActBlue.

  • Run quality assurance on email program materials, including emails, fundraising and petition pages, metadata.

  • Execute A/B testing to optimize user experience and increase click and action rates.

  • Track email and fundraising performance and use that knowledge to inform planned email calendar.

  • As needed, draft advocacy and fundraising email copy that inspires our supporters to action.

  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • CRM experience a must (BlueState Digital, Silverpop, ActionKit, EveryAction, Mailchimp or similar) and ActBlue experience preferred.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on attention to detail and the ability to catch even the most minor of errors.

  • An understanding of political fundraising and its place in electoral politics.

  • A keen interest in electoral politics and the desire to elect Kirsten Gillibrand president.

  • Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects when assigned.

  • Must have superior project and time-management capabilities within a fast paced, high-productivity environment.

  • Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and effectively communicate and solve practical problems or issues.

  • Able to work and communicate within a team structure while able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Must be highly motivated, action-oriented, and goal-focused.

Required Education and Experience:

  • At least one cycle (or an equivalent two years) on a political campaign or in a political or advocacy-focused organization.

  • Competency with Mac and PC computers including troubleshooting and basic networking knowledge.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct/supervisory responsibilities, and/but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the company.

Work Environment

This job operates in a business casual office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

The campaign is operational 24/7. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and must work a minimum of 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status.

Travel Expectations

No travel is expected for this position.
