The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is looking to hire an Email Strategist to help write and produce content for a large and active grassroots email program. You will be responsible for writing, producing, and executing email marketing campaigns to raise millions of dollars, recruit organizers, and mobilize voters across the country.

Write incisive, engaging copy that moves millions of people to take action in support of Democratic candidates and campaigns
Design, produce, and code (HTML) email sends
Recognize key moments and narrative hooks in the news cycle and coordinate cross-channel messages to capitalize on those opportunities
Track industry-wide email trends and pitch content testing ideas
Analyze message performance to identify trends and insights that will lead to future optimization


Exceptional writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail
Ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in email marketing for an electoral campaign, advocacy organization, or non-profit
Political organizing and campaigning knowledge
Familiarity with website CMS, CRM, or online organizing platforms (e.g. Blue State Digital, Convio, Silverpop, ActionKit)

Preference given for experience with:

Email writing
Email production, especially in Blue State Digital
Statistical analysis and reporting
